“After Consultations, I Will Speak Clearly To Nigerians” – Governor Fayose Threatens To Quit PDP
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has threatened to quit the PDP after the just concluded presidential primaries which held in Rivers State.
According to Governor Fayose, he would renounce his “membership of the PDP anytime from now.”
“After consultations, I will speak clearly to Nigerians.”
Before now, Governor Fayose had reacted to reports quoting him as saying he would dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC). His spokesman, Lere Olayinka, said the governor did not and will never make such statement.
A press release he signed reads:
“Kindly disregard statement being circulated by members of the APC in Ekiti State that Governor Ayodele Fayose said “If defecting to APC will solve Ekiti problems, he will join APC and nobody can stop him.”
