Google Remembers Stephen Keshi On His 56th Post-Humous Birthday
Former Nigerian Super Eagles captain and coach, Late Stephen Okechukwu Keshi is being honoured today, January 23rd by tech Giant Google with a doodle on the occasion of his post-humous birthday. Keshi would have been 56 today.
Google said the doodle was to recognise the legacy of the former coach Super Eagles captain who died at 54.
Doodles are changes made to the Google logo to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists, pioneers, and scientists and great men who have their marks.
“Today we celebrate the life of Nigerian football icon Stephen Keshi,” Google Africa said in a post on Twitter. “The beautiful game took Keshi all over the world, as a player and coach. Happy Birthday Big Boss.”
Keshi died on June 7, 2016, less than seven months after he lost his wife, Kate, to cancer.
