Two Nigerian priests and 17 worshippers were buried on Tuesday, nearly a month after an attack on their church, as Catholics took to the streets calling for an end to a spiral of violence.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was amongst those who attended the funeral service of two catholic priests; Rev Frs. Felix Tyolaha and Joseph Gor and 17 other parishioners killed by gunmen at Saint Ignatius Parish, Mbalom, on Tuesday, May 22.
The Vice President promised at the funeral that the killers of the priests and other worshipers will be brought to book. Osinbajo gave the assurance on Tuesday at Ayati, a small hilltop village situated on the outskirts of Ikpayongo, in Gwer East Local Government Council, during the burial of the victims of the April 24 church attack.
