EastEnders has confirmed a major fan theory after announcing the latest returning character.
Since the announcement that 90s legend David Wicks (Michael French) is heading back to Albert Square, EastEnders fans have been theorising that Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) is set to follow – and they were right.
Bianca is set to return to Walford this autumn, and she has lots of unfinished business in the Square following her exit in June.
When the news broke that David was coming back, actress Patsy Palmer sparked rumours that she was also set to return when she posted an old picture of herself with Michael French in character as Bianca and David, captioned, ‘Every girl needs her father.’
Fans were quick to latch onto this, hoping that it meant Bianca would soon be back on our screens.
Following this cryptic post, Patsy was spotted leaving a hotel near the EastEnders set, that left people wondering if she was on her way to start filming.
She also went partying with co-stars Jessie Wallace, who plays Kat Slater, and Denise Fox actress Diane Parish, which further fuelled rumours that she was back working on the soap.
With her return having now been confirmed, fans are absolutely thrilled, and have taken to social media to share their excitement.
While some are excited to see David and Bianca’s dynamic once more, others wonder what will transpire between her and future brother-in-law Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman).
It isn’t just fans who are excited, with crew members also delighted to be able to write for Bianca again.

With Bianca’s return imminent, there is plenty of opportunity for drama. Of course, her relationship with sister Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) hit a rough patch prior to her exit, when Bianca exposed her and Reiss for stealing Debbie’s money.
Bianca also revealed to Kat that she was suffering from depression – will this be revisited as part of her return storyline?
And with Bianca unaware that David is soon set to join her in Albert Square, how will she react to his arrival?
