When was the last time you praised God? Since the beginning of this year how many times have you praised God? Are you aware that God is the One sustaining you? Do you know that your life is an unmerited favour from God? I want us to take a break from our tight schedule to bless the name of the LORD. We are going to use Psalm 144:1-10.
Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. Child of God, one of the reasons why you must praise God is because He is our Rock of ages. He is our Protector and Defender. He not only prepares us for battle, He fights all our battles and grants us victory.
Child of God, the Lord is your loving God. He is your fortress and your stronghold. As your loving God, He will not allow those who hate you to prevail. He will always show you love. As your fortress and Stronghold, He will always protect and uphold you. He will never allow you to be defeated!
The Lord is your Deliverer and your shield, in Him you will take refuge, who subdues people under me. He is your hiding place. He will deliver you from the hands of your enemies and your oppressors. He will deliver you from evil attack and evil arrows. He will subdue all those who want to subdue you.
Child of God, do you know that you are nothing before God? Psalm 144:3 declares “Lord, what are human beings that you care for them, mere mortals that you think of them? They are like a breath; their days are like a fleeting shadow.” This is the more reason why you must appreciate God.
Child of God, be ready to pray with the psalmist. Psalm 144:5-7 is a powerful prayer for divine intervention. You need God’s intervention. You cannot fight this battle alone. Begin to pray: O LORD, “Part your heavens, Lord, and come down; touch the mountains, so that they smoke. Send forth lightning and scatter the enemy; shoot your arrows and rout them. Reach down your hand from on high; deliver me and rescue me from the mighty waters, from the hands of foreigners whose mouths are full of lies, whose right hands are deceitful.”
Child of God, as you have prayed, may God deliver you from evil mighty waters. May He deliver you from the forces of darkness and from every evil pit! May God rescue you from the hands of the wicked, especially from all deceivers in Jesus name – Amen!
Psalm 144:9-10 declares, “I will sing a new song to you, my God; on the ten-stringed lyre I will make music to you, to the One who gives victory to kings, who delivers his servant David From the deadly sword.” Child of God, begin to sing a New Son to the LORD! Begin to make music to the Lord! Use whatever instrument that you can lay your hands and praise God.
You have to praise God for He is the One who gives victory to the King. He is the One who will grant you victory. As you remain connected to God, you will surely be victorious! God will deliver you from deadly sword as He delivered His servant David. He will deliver you from evil arrows. He will deliver you from every evil plot. God will deliver you from occultic and marine kingdoms. He will surely protect you and it shall be well with you in Jesus name–Amen!
