‘A state of child famine’ – Gaza’s deepening hunger crisis

At least 113 people in Gaza have now died from starvation, including dozens of children, according to the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza.

The hunger crisis is hitting the most vulnerable first including those with pre-existing health conditions, followed by children whose mothers are too malnourished and dehydrated to breastfeed.

Israel maintains that it is allowing sufficient humanitarian aid into Gaza and it blames the United Nations for failing to distribute it.
