England 3-0 Wales
30. Sarina Wiegman can start planning for the quarter-finals now.
The England manager watches on as her team notch a third goal on the half hour mark with Lauren Hemp heading in at the far post – albeit with a helping hand (or helping face) from Wales keeper Olivia Clark.
Lauren James feeds Ella Toone on the right, from where the scorer of the Lionness’ second goalscorer delivers a dangerous cross to the back stick.
Hemp’s header back across may have been going in anyway, but it soon clatters into Clark and crosses the line.
England 2-0 Wales
27. Wales go close!
Some excellent football from Rhian Wilkinson’s team gets them up the field for the first time tonight.
A towering defensive header seems to have stem the danger, but then Angharad James nips in with a fizzing shot from just inside the area which Hannah Hampton does very well to save.
England 2-0 Wales
24. Keira Walsh goes close to extending England’s lead with what would have been a spectacular third from distance.
Meanwhile, group leaders France have taken the lead against the Netherlands in Basel.
England 2-0 Wales
21. England are in complete control now, and it’s threatening to get ugly for Wales.
Rhiannon Roberts fails to deal with a loose ball in her own penalty area, and is eventually outmuscled by Georgia Stanway.
Alessia Russo takes over to get round goalkeeper Olivia Clark, and although some desperate Wales defending keeps out Ella Toone’s first effort, they can’t stop her from slamming a second attempt into the roof of the net.
The Lionesses are on the prowl!
