Iran’s water crisis: Tehran faces worst drought in 50 years (DUBBED)


“If rationing water doesn’t work – we may have to evacuate Tehran”. The stark warning from Iran’s president Masoud Pe-zeshkian – as the country struggles to cope with an unprecedented drought.

The dams and reservoirs which supply the capital and other major cities have all but dried up. And it’s not just climate change and an increase in population to blame – many are pointing to endemic corruption and mismanagement by the authorities – with dwindling supplies diverted to the most privileged and wealthy areas.
