Saudi League: Al Nassr's Ronaldo breaks record for goals in one season

Al Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo has broken the Saudi League record for goals scored in one single season.

Ronaldo scored a powerful header against Al Ittihad to take his tally to 35 goals.

The 39-year-old scored twice as Al Nassr won 2-0.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has also laid on 11 assists in 31 games.

The previous record was 34 goals scored in the 2018–19 season by Abderrazak Hamdallah.

While Al Hilal sealed the SPL title with three games to go, Ronaldo and his teammates will have one last shot at silverware when they face Al Hilal in the King Cup of Champions final.
