Donald Trump has authorised the deployment of the national guard to Chicago to protect federal officers and assets. This follows a border patrol agent shooting a woman who was allegedly armed during an anti-ICE protest this weekend.
Trump has been deploying and threatening to deploy federal law enforcement in several US cities.
