Bad Bunny has addressed critics of his enlisting as the headliner of the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

The announcement, made at the top of the week, sparked discourse aplenty, with many praising the selection and others being not as endorsing. There has even been a political weigh-in, with claims that ICE will be on-hand during the Santa Clara spectacle on Febriary 8.

While hosting Satutday Night Live, the hitmaker didn’t shy away from the debate. Instead, he tackled it head-on.

During his open monologue,  the superstar gushed:

“I am very excited to be doing the Super Bowl. And I know people all around the world will love my music.”

After proceeding to speak in Spanish about his joy to represent for his culture, he added:

“If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have 4 months to learn.”
