Sabrina Carpenter‘s seventh studio album ‘Man’s Best Friend‘ has bested some tough competition to land atop the updated Billboard 200.
Details inside.
‘Friend’ is this week’s Billboard 200 champion. Here are the numbers that powered the placement.
First-Week Sales (SPS): 366,000 units
First-Week Sales (Pure): 224,000 units
Billboard 200 Debut: #1
Led to chart battle by preceding singles ‘Manchild‘ and ‘Tears,’ Carpenter’s ‘Friend’ exceeded industry analysts’ prediction by a whopping 16,000 copies.
Aided by the project’s availability across standard and deluxe digital editions as well as 13 vinyl variants, two cassette variants, and four CD variants, the final total figure (366,000 units) comes as the largest first-week sales Sabrina has enjoyed to date in her short-but-storied career.
Her previous best, 2024’s ‘Short N Sweet,’ soared to #1 on the wings of 362,000 units sold. What’s more, ‘Friend’ boasts the highest first-week sales of any female-led album released in 2025.
Among all acts, however, it ranks third behind Morgan Wallen‘s ‘I’m the Problem‘ (493,000 units first-week) and The Weeknd‘s ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ (490,000).
