Still going strong after over 35 years there’s no stopping Goldie Lookin Chain, they’re back with a new single, Puppuccino, and a tour announcement for dates in late 2026 and early 2027
Goldie Lookin Chain have shown they have staying power, possibly against the odds, with a constant flow of new material over the years and live performances in front of hard core fans up and down the country. LTW last caught them last October with Allen Maslen visiting Stourbridge, his review closing with the words, ‘Enjoy these brilliant, fearless men while you can’. If you haven’t had the opportunity yet, then now is your time as they’re gearing up nicely for their Stairway To Newport 2026 tour.

To go with the announcement they’ve also released Puppuccino which sees GLC doing what they do best, taking aim and taking the piss out of those who treat their dogs as their children and hang out in dog cafes! So basically rapping about dogs, dog cafés and everything in between. The video also features a cast of four-legged stars kindly provided by Newport City Dogs Home.
With the tour Goldie Lookin Chain are hitting every clart-riddled town from Southend to Glasgow, checking the fit of every tracksuit in the nation, and bringing their unmistakable blend of comedy, chaos and classic GLC energy to stages across the UK. The tour reaches fever pitch with the Welsh Power Play in Swansea, before the grand finale shuts down the whole game in Wrexham. Expect beats, belly laughs, and a beautiful, sweaty mess from start to finish.
And they won’t be slowing down once the Stairway To Newport 2026 tour wraps up. Goldie Lookin Chain have already announced a return of their hugely popular ‘You Snows It’ Christmas shows this December, taking festive chaos to Bridgend, Buckley and Newport, before heading back out on the road in 2027 with a major London headline show at O2 Forum Kentish Town on 27 March 2027.
Supporting the band will be London-based, Scottish-born viral sensation JJ Bull, hilariously unpredictable The Welsh John MOuse, and Cardiff six-piece Breichiau Hir. JJ Bull, who is currently redefining indiepop through a football-fuelled lens. Fresh from becoming one of the unexpected breakout stories of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with his viral The Very Unofficial Scotland World Cup Song, musician and football writer JJ Bull returns with his new album Out Of Your League. The song, which has become an unlikely soundtrack to Scotland’s World Cup campaign over the summer and has earned widespread acclaim from fans and media alike. His high-energy live shows have captivated audiences worldwide, leading to sold-out London headline shows, festival appearances at Kendal Calling and Belladrum, and a rapidly growing global fanbase. Returning to support will be Goldie Lookin Chain’s old friend, The Welsh John MOuse, following a series of high-profile support slots with Young Knives and Thousand Yard Stare. Renowned for his unpredictable and engaging performances, he blends synth-driven new wave with sharply observed, often surreal storytelling. His highly anticipated upcoming eighth studio album Ynys Parc Memorial 1854–1976, produced by Sweet Baboo (Cate Le Bon, Euros Child) and featuring collaborations with Gruff Rhys and Miki Berenyi, explores cinematic textures and off-kilter pop structures. This next phase sees The Welsh John MOuse elevate both his sound and visual identity, drawing on a distinctly Welsh, brutalist aesthetic.
Completing the trio of guests on the tour Breichiau Hir, whose signature sound blends swathes of crushing noise with delicate, emotive melodies. No strangers to GLC fans, Breichiau Hir, known for their intense and immersive live performances, supported the Newport posse last year, delivering raw, introspective Welsh-language lyrics that forge a powerful connection with audiences. Their debut album Hir Oes i’r Cof, released via Libertino Records, earned nominations for both the Welsh Music Prize and Welsh Album of the Year, while their second album Y Dwylo Uwchben further cemented their status as one of Wales’s most vital and uncompromising acts with another Welsh Music Prize nomination.
