Fiona Bruce clashed with a guest when she hit back against an immigration claim he made ahead of the US election next month.
The programme tonight was hosted in Pennsylvania and saw fiery exchanges on a number of topics.
Turning to Democratic representative Malcolm Kenyatta, Ms Bruce said: “Given that immigration of undocumented or illegal migrants has been so much higher on average under the Biden administration, about two million a year compared to the Trump administration which is about 300,000 or 400,000 a year.
“Are you blaming that all on a bill that was supposed to be passed this year? What about the previous three years?”
Senate Republicans blocked a bipartisan border security bill for a second time in May.
The 43-50 vote was far short of the necessary 60 votes needed to advance the legislation. Republicans, who have repeatedly demanded Democrats act on the border, abandoned the compromise proposal at the behest of Donald Trump who saw it was a political “gift” for Biden’s re-election chances at the time.
In response to Ms Bruce, Mr Kenyatta said: “I would quibble with some of those numbers.
Ms Bruce interjected to say the figures had been provided by Pew research.
He continued: “In the last couple of months, we have seen border crossings actually come down.
“But the point is to get to a place where we have the orderly border security that we deserve, it is going to take an act of congress.
“Congress had a bill on the table which is not law because of one man named Donald Trump.
“He said to blame him and I do.”
