Dozens of firefighters have attended the scene, with multiple fire engines in attendance at the scene of the John Williams Street fire as emergency operations continue.
A slew of firefighters has been seen donning breathing apparatuses to battle the blaze, with heavy smoke in the area. A small group of firefighters were also recently observed approaching the building to evaluate the situation further.Â
The scene has been cord ended off by police to keep the public at bay and to provide room for the large number of emergency service officers in attendance. As a result, some local roads have been closed off near the scene, with drivers advised to steer clear of the area for the time being.Â
Paramedics are also at the scene. No injuries have been reported so far.
