Mark Berwick, who owns nearby MBM Perth Ltd, said he saw the fire break out at the ifab Fabricator Welders building on the business park.
He told The Courier: “The fire is within the ifab building, and all emergency services are at the scene. I called the owner as soon as I spotted the smoke as he wasn’t on site this morning.
“There are welding gas bottles kept within the building hence the concerns about explosions. We’ve been told by police that the industrial estate will be closed for most of the day and a large cordon has been put in place.”
