If CCHQ weren’t already in meltdown over the snap decision of a summer election, a document produced by senior party officials outlining that the Tories could lose more than 100 MPs to the rise of Reform will send them spiralling. The document, leaked to Bloomberg details that although Reform may not actually win any seats, Tory voters who may switch to Reform may split the right-wing vote, opening the door for Labour gains. Not helpful when Labour is already 20 points ahead in the polls…

The revelation comes after Sunak announced two new policies to appeal to the elderly right wing – mandatory National Service and the ‘triple lock plus’ to make sure state pensions are always tax-free. This will certainly put a spring in Farage’s step before he’s due to speak in Dover this morning…
