Audiences across the United Kingdom will soon experience the sweeping epic “Labake Olododo” (The Warrior Lord), a powerful new Nigerian film directed by acclaimed filmmaker Biodun Stephen. The film will be released across select Odeon, Vue, and Cineworld cinemas nationwide beginning Friday, April 25, 2025.
Labake Olododo tells the tragic and captivating story of love, betrayal, and sacrifice. The narrative portrays the journey of a valiant female warrior whose life is transformed by an unexpected romance. The film blends action, drama, and romance while exploring themes of duty, honor, and sacrifice.This epic features an all-star cast including Iyabo Ojo, Wunmi Toriola, Priscilla Ojo, Lateef Adedimeji, Fathia Balogun, Toyin Abraham, Yinka Quadri, Bimbo Ademoye, Mr Macaroni and Bimbo Manuel. The screenplay was masterfully crafted by Moshood Yakubu Olawale and Sunday Alabi Osibata, creating a bilingual experience that showcases the richness of Yoruba cultural heritage while remaining accessible to English-speaking audiences.
