Billboard 200: Taylor Swift Breaks Whitney Houston’s Record Of Most Initial Consecutive Weeks At #1 For A Female Album

Taylor Swift continues her move into legendary territory thanks to her latest chart achievement.

More details below…

On the latest Billboard 200 update, Swift’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ holds at #1 for a 12th consecutive week. As a result, the album breaks the record for the most initial consecutive weeks at #1 from an album by a female artist. It bested the 11-week run by Whitney Houston‘s ‘Whitney’ album.

As we previously we reported, ‘Poets’ tied ‘Whitney’ last week.

However, Swift additionally has gone on to tie with Morgan Wallen‘s ‘One Thing At A Time’ for the most consecutive weeks at #1 for an album this century.

What’s more, ‘Poets’ is now Swift’s longest #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, besting the 11-week run of ‘1989’ and ‘Fearless.’
