Around 70 firefigthers have been sent to tackle a blaze at Somerset House in central London.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) said it had sent crews after receiving a call just before midday.
Ten fire engines including crews from Soho, Islington and surrounding fire stations are at the scene, the Brigade added.
It said the cause of the fire is not yet known.
