Elon Musk ventures into the smart TV sector with a new app, X TV, aiming to revolutionise user interaction and the entertainment experience.
In a recent update, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk revealed plans to venture into the world of smart TV with the launch of his new app, X TV.
The announcement was made through a post by @XNews on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter. While details remain scarce due to a brief 10-second video teaser accompanying the announcement, the post promises that X TV will soon be available on smart TVs everywhere.
Elon Musk’s X is set to launch the app “identical” to YouTube’s TV offering for smart televisions as early as next week, according to a report.
Musk’s goal is to get users to watch “long videos on a bigger screen” — part of the billionaire’s larger initiative to make X the “everything app,” according to Fortune, which reported the news citing anonymous sources.“He is set on competing with YouTube,” the source told Fortune, adding that X’s forthcoming video app will first be available exclusively for Amazon and Samsung smart TVs.
