SWEET-TOOTHED shoppers are raving over a bargain supermarket’s new 99p alcohol range.
Inspired by the United States‘ favourite desserts, the supermarket has excited shoppers with a new treat.
Aldi is bringing a series of new ciders to its shelves inspired by America’s classic desserts.
Selling at 99p a pop, three new options have been launched.
The first is the Taurus Apple Pie Cider.
It’s being billed as a drink that blends the flavours of apple and warming cinnamon.
Pairing the beverage with a scoop of vanilla ice cream comes highly recommended by the supermarket.
On the theme of sweet pies, they’re also offering Key Lime Pie Cider for those in the market for citrus flavour.
Rounding out the new trio, Aldi are also tabling Peach Cobbler Cider, based on the iconic American dish of peaches with a butter biscuit topping.
Each can is 330ml.
They all have an alcohol volume of 3.4 per cent.
The three new drinks are marketed as being perfect for a warm day and enjoyed as an “alternative to traditional cocktails”, an Aldi press release said.
Shoppers raved about them on social media.
One said: “The key lime pie was delicious.”
Another said they were perfect for satisfying extra sweet cravings.
A comment said: “Cider and dessert, the perfect combo.”
Someone else added: “These sound excellent!”
And a parent chimed in with: “Just sent to my daughter, we will definitely be trying.”
Those keen on giving them a go will have to head in-store as they are not sold online.
