The M40 is shut to traffic in Warwickshire following a ‘serious’ crash on the northbound carriageway tonight (Saturday, September 28).
The closure was first reported at around 8pm and a diversion route is in place. Warwickshire Police are in attendance.
A National Highways spokesperson said: “The M40 in Warwickshire is closed northbound between J11 and J12 due to a serious collision.
“Warwickshire Police remain in attendance to carry out a collision investigation. It is expected that the road will remain closed for several hours. In addition to the above, lanes 2 and 3 are now closed on the southbound carriageway.”
