Louder Than War attended a star-studded VIP celebration event, hosted by Prestige Productions at the world-famous Cavern Club in Liverpool. This was certainly a night to remember, to launch in style the brand-new one-of-a-kind stage production… ‘Live Forever – The Rise of Oasis’.
Including interviews with key personalities and incredible live music alongside a brilliant Oasis exhibition Together We’ll Fly from Kyle Dale of Bittersweet Home. This fantastic exhibition showcased some very rare, signed and unseen Oasis-related items and memorabilia.
The evening kicked off with a stimulating Q & A session with the talented UK Producer and Sound Engineer Nick Brine. Brine also founder of Flip Flop Record talked candidly about working with Oasis in the 90s. The intriguing session covered Brine’s experiences recording with the band in the studio, the brother’s songwriting inspirations, favourite songs and stand-out memories.
He also talked about having worked with other classic bands from the 90s that came from Rockfield, such as The Stone Roses, The Verve, Arctic Monkeys, The Darkness, Thunder, Robbie Williams and Bruce Springsteen being an obvious highlight.
Questions from the audience included asking Brine who he wished he could have worked with, his response included the Beatles, Stones and Radiohead. Also, thoughts on the rumours of a new album from Oasis were discussed. Could their iconic multi-million-selling albums ever be topped? Brine stated he’s delighted to be currently working with Dodgy and Max Rafferty from The Kooks. He then talked proudly about working with superb up-and-coming Japanese band SAHAJi, and their amazing debut EP ‘Future In The Sky’ that reached number 8 on the UK Official Top 40.
Brine’s session generated lots of discussion and interest. The prosecco was flowing, the lights were down and the atmosphere in the venue was buzzing.
Without further ado, the Japanese brothers SAHAJI took to the stage to get the party started. They were certainly a force to be reckoned with, charismatic, and extremely talented with fantastic original songs that wowed the crowd. Swapping electric and acoustic guitars between them, with breathtaking playing that included Hendrix riffs mixed with raw and rocky vocals. This has got to be a recipe for success. SAHAJi who are described as having an Oasis feel and already have a cult following on social media are currently working on their debut album with Brine and are well worth looking out for.
The final performance of the evening was an incredible one from the brand-new production show ‘Live Forever’. This amazing band of musicians including renowned vocalists Pete Jackson and Derek McCabe gave a tantalizing taster of the 2025 stage show and performed some of the greatest songs from the Oasis back catalogue.
The show kicking off in the new year is the first production of its kind, Live Forever, where Oasis will have their backstory showcased and audiences will be transported back to the 90s to the very beginning of the iconic band’s story.
The show follows Oasis’s meteoric rise to fame, from their humble beginnings on a South Manchester council estate to becoming the biggest band on the planet, playing to more than a quarter of a million fans at their now legendary Knebworth concerts.
