Coincidentally, a protest had been planned by aggrieved Worksop citizens calling for justice after Labour councillor and ex-Worksop mayor Maria Charlesworth’s chinese fighter dog had gone on a killing rampage, dispatching an elderly pensioner’s innocent cocker spaniel.
