The 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA11) is officially Over. Now in its 11th edition, the AMVCAs continue to honour the best in African film, television, and digital storytelling—shining a spotlight on the actors, creators, and productions that shaped the entertainment landscape throughout 2024. From standout performances to bold directorial work, tonight’s show brings all the glamour, energy, and recognition the industry deserves.
This year’s awards cover content released between January 1 and December 31, 2024. Leading the pack in nominations are Lisabi: The Uprising, Skeleton Coast, House of Ga’a, and Freedom Way, with multiple nods across major categories like Best Movie, Best Director, and Best Writing.
In the performance categories, heavyweights like Gideon Okeke (Tokunbo), Femi Adebayo (Seven Doors), Stan Nze (Suspicion), Adedimeji Lateef (Lisabi: The Uprising), Chioma Chukwuka (Seven Doors), and Bimbo Ademoye (Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre) go head-to-head for top acting honours.
