Meghan Markle’s chances of running for President of the United States have been torn apart by a political commentator who claimed she will “never” make it to the White House.
The Duchess of Sussex was at the centre of discussions last week after her recent trip to Nigeria sparked theories about her possible political debut.
Erika Alexander, Meghan’s former Suits co-star from Suits, recently stated that the former actress is “heading to the White House” with many believing she has got what it takes to take on the Oval Office.
She described Meghan as a “diplomat” and an “ambassador”.
A political source even claimed the Nigeria trip could mirror Donald Trump‘s ascension from business to presidency without prior experience.
They told the Mail: “She [Meghan] has her eyes on the prize.”
But while some experts on US politics were keen on such a possible move, others did not think so.
Nile Gardiner, a foreign policy analyst and one of Margaret Thatcher’s former aides, took to social media and blasted Meghan as he said there is no chance she will ever make it to the White House due to one key reason.
Mr Garden wrote on X: “Utterly ridiculous. Meghan Markle has zero qualifications for running for president or public office, and has zero chance of ever making it to the White House.”
Meanwhile, royal expert Michael Cole has already touched down on Meghan’s possible political move.
He told GB News: “Maybe this is, shall we say, the third act in the drama of her life. [The] first act being a successful actress in a legal soap, [the] second act [is] marrying a royal prince and becoming a royal duchess [and the] third act [is] politics.
“Plenty of people have gone into it, there are presidents and maybe that’s what [Meghan] sees herself doing.”
