Baba Tee Admits to Brief Affair with Ijoba Lande’s Wife, Blames Alcohol, and Apologizes
Yoruba Nollywood actor Babatunde Tayo, popularly known as Baba Tee, has retracted his earlier denial and admitted to having a brief sexual encounter with Dara, the wife of comedian and skit maker Ganiyu Morufu, aka Ijoba Lande.
In a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers on Sunday, Baba Tee confessed that the incident occurred during a “Truth or Dare” game while he was intoxicated. His admission contradicts his previous stance, where he had challenged Lande to provide proof or face legal consequences for defamation.
Lande had earlier accused his wife of infidelity, claiming that at least 21 men in the entertainment industry were involved with her, including Baba Tee. Initially, Baba Tee denied any affair, stating that he only met Dara last year through actress Marygold, who introduced her as a content creator and aspiring artiste.
However, in a new revelation, Baba Tee explained that Marygold and Dara visited his home, where a drinking game led to the encounter. He insisted he was unaware of Dara’s marital status at the time, accusing the women of setting him up to tarnish his reputation.
Following the confession, Esabod urged Baba Tee to apologize to Lande, considering his previous denial. In response, Baba Tee issued a public apology on his official Facebook page, expressing regret over the situation.
He wrote, “I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother, Lande. Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge… Hmmm. I fear women.”Marygold, Lande’s embattled manager, was alleged to have recorded the incident, further complicating the controversy.
