Jaron Ennis vs. Karen Chukhadzhian – Boxing Betting Prediction

JARON Ennis faces Karen Chukhadzhian in Philadelphia tonight in a rematch that even Ennis’ promoter, Eddie Hearn, admits is a hard sell. That’s because Ennis has already beaten the Ukrainian in a January 2023 lopsided points decision.

Therefore, Ennis (-3500) enters as an extremely strong favourite to repeat the trick here, likely more emphatically than in the first meeting, where Ennis stepped off as Chukhadzhian circled the ring round after round.

Following that loss (the second of his career), Chukhadzhian (+1300) worked his way swiftly back into title contention, grabbing three consecutive victories. The final win was an eliminator that ended in a unanimous points decision victory over Britain’s Harry Scarff in Rothenbaum, winning 116-112 on all three cards. Karen, 28, is not a big puncher and not aggressive enough to cause ‘Boots’ many issues, apart from his defensive caginess.

Along with his father and trainer, Derek ‘Bozy’ Ennis, Jaron is expected to have worked out where they went wrong (to some degree) in the first fight and grab KO number 30 in front of his hometown fans. Even though this is also a chance for the visitor to surprise everyone and show something different, Chukhadzhian is expected to box the same as in their first fight.

Ennis will need to stay focused and patient and bust his man up as the bout reaches its final stages. Good quality fighters can adapt and adjust. Jaron, 27, is capable of doing exactly that as a raucous crowd roars him home.
