LOGLINE- When an unhappy young bride to a lonely old farmer begins an affair with his nephew, together they murder her husband but soon become haunted by the old man’s ghost
SynopsisFarmer’s Bride is a romantic drama that follows the journey of Odun, a wealthy lonely farmer with no surviving family save for his late brother’s widow Morenike and her son Femi, decides to marry a young bride Funmi from the neighboring village. Funmi who is supposed to sooth Odun’s aging nerves and bring him joy in his old age sinks into grief and despair, resenting her husband through this union arranged by her mother Tundun, she had no say in.
“When dangerous desires burn, who will be left standing,” says Adebayo Tijani, the film’s director.
