JARON ‘Boots’ Ennis and Karen Chukhadzhian made weight ahead of their rematch tonight in Philadelphia. Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez and opponent Pedro Guevara were also spot on for their super-flyweight support act.
Ennis will be eager to put on a show for his hometown crowd against an opponent he has already dominated over 12 rounds. An impressive victory should push the champion towards a big 2025 and potential clashes with Brian Norman Jr, Eimantas Stanionis or Mario Barrios, who all hold titles of varying descriptions.
As for Rodriguez, he is keen to see out a spectacular 12 months and carry that form over with a big display over tough nut Guevara. The Sinaloa native gave Carlos Cuadras a good argument at the tail end of 2023 and defeated Andrew Moloney in May to claim an interim crown.
