Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, the Acting Governor of Katsina state, has immediately lifted the imposed curfew on the state.
Bar Abdullahi Garba Faskari, the Secretary to the Government of the State through his Director Press, Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’Adua disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Katsina on Wednesday.
The statement said the lifting of the curfew followed the reports on the prevailing peace and harmony throughout the state.
According to the statement, the order by the Acting Governor is to enable the people to go about their normal businesses unhindered.
He however appealed to the people to report any suspicious movement by individuals or groups of people to the relevant authorities, reiterating the commitment of the Dikko Radda-led administration to the curtailment of the security challenges in the state.
He appreciated the security agencies and the good people of the state for their support and understanding, appealing for more support and cooperation.
The Acting Governor urged the people to pray for peace to reign in the state, stressing that, no meaningful development can be achieved in an atmosphere of insecurity.
