Power Of Googlebot And Google Knowledge Panel – Independent Newspaper Nigeria

Internet Branding Expert Eloho Oyegwa in this piece, highlights the Power of Googlebot and Google Knowledge Panel

The 9th Lagos Digital PR Summit, held on the 16th and 17th of October 2024 at the Agip Recital Hall, MUSON Center, Onikan, Lagos State, Nigeria, brought together over 250 attendees, communications professionals, digital technology leaders, and Public Relations enthusiasts.

Organized by Lagos Digital Public Relations in collaboration with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and Upticomm Marketing Company, the summit centered around the theme, “Nurturing Authentic Connections in Digital Ecosystems.”

Eloho Oyegwa, founder of Webcore Nigeria, delivered a key presentation titled “Harnessing AI: The Power of Googlebot, Knowledge Panel, and Wikipedia for Smarter Digital Strategies.”

In his talk, Oyegwa explored how generative artificial intelligence uses Googlebot, the Google Knowledge Panel, and Wikipedia as core data sources. These systems empower AI to perform tasks such as reasoning, learning, problem-solving, understanding natural language, and adapting to new scenarios.

Oyegwa emphasized that Googlebot, by continuously indexing the web, ensures AI models have access to current, accurate, and contextually relevant information.

He further explained how Google Knowledge Panels serve as structured, reliable sources of information on key entities.

AI systems, in turn, utilize this data to deliver more precise and context-aware responses to search queries, voice assistants, and other AI-driven applications. By organizing and presenting information through Knowledge Panels, AI deepens its understanding of entities, fostering more meaningful user interactions.

In his closing remarks, Oyegwa underscored the need for Africans to document their own history. He pointed out that much of Africa’s heritage, passed down verbally for over a millennium, remains largely unrecorded in written form. Without proper documentation through media and PR, he warned, Africans risk having their history rewritten by others, possibly leading to distortions.

At the conclusion of the event, Eloho Oyegwa was awarded a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his invaluable contributions to the industry.
