The Katsina State House of Assembly has passed a unanimous vote of confidence on Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s leadership styles towards handling of security issues in the state.
Rt. Hon. Nasiru Yahaya, the Speaker of the house who announced the resolution during it’s plenary session, said the lawmakers have confidence in the Governor’s efforts to tackle security challenges, despite sabotage from unknown elements.
The Speaker said the House further also resolved to form a delegation to visit the National Assembly with the aim having discussions with the state representatives on the way forward to address security issues.
The lawmakers prayed for divine intervention to expose those behind the persistent security problems in the frontline local government areas.
Similarly, the House has upheld a motion for the provision of additional support and relief materials to victims of banditry in Malumfashi and Bakori areas, which were recently attacked, resulting in loss of lives and properties.
This vote of confidence and the lawmakers’ resolve to contribute to security efforts have demonstrated their commitment to support the Governor in addressing the state’s security challenges.
