Two tourists were struck by lightning at the famous Horseshoe Bend national landmark in the US.

The two visitors aged 22 and 23, from the Netherlands and Australia, were standing by the rim of Horseshoe Bend just before 4pm on Monday, according to the National Park Service (NPS).

Both of them ‘sustained injuries’, stated the NPS.
