Busta Rhymes Speaks On Diddy’s Arrest & Sexual Abuse Lawsuits: “Everybody Should Mind Their Damn Business Until the Truth Is Undisputed”

Viewers expecting Busta Rhymes to spew his own brand of venom against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs at Monday’s red carpet premiere of ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ (October 21) got quite the opposite response when the ‘Break Ya Neck‘ hitmaker broke his silence on the topic of the embattled mogul’s sea of legal woes.

Currently behind bars awaiting a May 2025 trial for federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, Diddy – also facing over 140 civil lawsuits on accusations of physical or sexual abuse, false imprisonment, and more – is seeing his legal troubles be a daily topic addressed for news outlets, celebrities, and social media commenters alike.

Longtime friend Rhymes is the latest to make headlines for his take on the matter.

While chatting with ExtraTV at Monday’s ‘Venom’ premiere, the legendary rapper shared a very objective outlook.

“I would love everyone to be mindful of the thirst, urgency, and need to speak on the situation. I think a lot of times people don’t realize how insensitive it could be to have opinions on things that you have no understanding of outside of what you’re being told. And, we do know propaganda is a real thing and we also know that the truth is a real thing,” he relayed amid sharing he ultimately wants to “reserve his opinion” for now. “I like to wait for the truth before I really start to dive into trying to understand.”

In summation, Busta says he wouldn’t wish the situation “on his worst enemy” and has the remedy for those who are prematurely passing judgment against Combs.

“The one thing that we should take away from what I’m saying is everybody probably needs to mind their damn business until the truth is undisputed,” he said. “At that point, justice needs to be served accordingly for everyone involved.”

The statement above echoes a sentiment the 12x GRAMMY-nominated rapper shared with ‘ET.’

“I think that people don’t keep in mind the effect of what their opinion can have,” he shared with the latter outlet. “I think it’s really important that we reserve our opinions until we understand what the undisputed truth is.”

Beyond a longtime friendship, Busta and Diddy have shared credits on multiple Hip-Hop hits over the years including ‘Pass the Courvoisier,’ ‘Bad Boys for Life (Remix),’ ‘Victory 2004,’ and more.
