‘Heart of a Woman’ Marks the HIGHEST Solo Hot 100 Debut of ANY Summer Walker Single Yet

If there was any doubt about the high anticipation that’s accompanying ‘Finally Over It,’ the forthcoming third studio album from Summer Walker, the Hot 100 performance of its lead single silenced it this week.

‘Heart’ debuted at #57 on the refreshed Billboard Hot 100; here are the numbers that powered the placement.

  • Streaming ≈ 10.2 million U.S.-based streams
  • Sales ≈ 1,500 digital downloads
  • Radio Airplay ≈  .8 million audience impressions

In addition to being the week’s best-selling new R&B song, ‘Heart’ also came as the second highest-charting new song among women of all genres – runner-up to the #27 premiere of Lady Gaga‘s ‘Disease‘ (as we reported here).

Serving a personal milestone, the #57 opening of ‘Heart’ makes it the highest debut any of Summer’s solo singles have achieved to date.

Among all her solo charted songs (single or otherwise), the ‘Still Over It‘ album track ‘Throw It Away‘ (#41) still holds the title of her highest unaccompanied Hot 100 debut.

Overall, however, the SZA-assisted ‘No Love‘ reigns as her top premiere on the all-genre tally (#13) when all songs – solo or features – are considered.
