Austrian producer salute has quietly been racking up a potent catalogue of modern house music bangers. With each subsequent release, he has refined his style toward crafting timeless beats with a contemporary polish. His collaborators have also grown in stature, from Rina Sawayama on this year’s earlier single Saving Flowers, and now to Jessie Ware on the newly released Heaven In Your Arms.
Ware, whose disco diva rebrand has seen her gain prominence on dance floors over the past four years, is a natural fit for salute’s classically informed style of bloghouse. On Heaven In Your Arms, she provides soaring gospel vocals that dance in time with salute’s holographic hi-hats and tin-can filtered strings, making for something that feels euphoric, triumphant, and impossible to not dance to.
