Live electronic artist, songwriter and producer, Mondingo, shared his latest offering ‘Underwater’ via his record label MOODSHINE Records on 12 March.
‘Underwater’ was inspired by a recent diving trip the Belgium-based artist embarked on with his father. The track seamlessly translates his diving experience, and wonder of the underwater world through the intentional use of sound and emotion.
This single, which features luxurious melodies and sumptuous grooves, also serves as a taste from his forthcoming album aptly titled Island. Mondingo’s remarkable ability to effortlessly merge technical skill with natural instincts is what sets him apart, and ‘Underwater’ perfectly exhibits this.
‘Underwater’ emerges as a captivating journey, driven by an evocative piano motif, and harmonised vocals that weave together effortlessly. Underscored with atmospheric textures, deep, resonant basslines and delicately crafted synths, all of which create a sense of closeness and expansion.
