The Sugababes are gearing up for their biggest tour yet and hit the promotional trail to signal the release of tickets.
Their latest stop with BBC‘s The One Show.
While there, Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena, and Siobhan Donaghy were asked about their long-awaited new album.
Beyond teaser effort ‘The Lost Tapes,’ the LP will function as the first official album from the original lineup of the Sugababes since reforming in 2013 and winning back the rights to the band name in 2019.
Find out what they had to say below…
Speaking candidly about their incoming LP, Siobhan said:
“We are working on it. We haven’t got a release date just yet. But it’s very close to being finished and we’re really excited about it.”
When quizzed about the sound of the new music, Keisha added:
“I think our music has always been very eclectic. We love to make timeless classics. And I know a lot of our fans get frustrated – and are like ‘when, when, when’ but we think quality over quantity.”
Siobhan quipped:
“We are independent, we write our own music, so it does take a little longer. But it will hopefully be ready for the arena tour.”
Keisha concluded:
“It will be the Sugababes sound…with harmonies (and all you’ve come to know from us)”
