Gardaí at scene of fire at refugee accommodation centre in Co Mayo

Gardaí and fire personnel are at the scene of a fire on Sunday morning at an International Protection centre in Co Mayo.

No injuries have been reported in the incident and an outbreak of fire reported around breakfast time has been brought under control.

The area has been sealed off to all but residents of what is known as the Breaffy Woods complex, adjacent to Breaffy House Hotel.

Breaffy House Hotel is not affected by Sunday morning’s incident.

Gardaí have confirmed “an incident” which they are investigating.
