Harry’s ‘never seen before gesture’ showed confidence ‘through roof’ on visit

Prince Harry’s levels of confidence were “through the roof” during his solo South African visit, with the Duke seen using a “never-seen-before” gesture during the trip.

This week, Harry reunited with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho at a bonfire during his visit to South Africa.

It marked the second visit this week without Meghan Markle after the Duke of Sussex travelled to the UK to attend an awards ceremony for the charity WellChild on Monday.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, body language expert Darren Stanton said: “When we saw Harry sitting by the bonfire speaking about his charity, you could instantly tell how comfortable he felt speaking about what he’s most passionate about.

“We saw him making a specific hand gesture during his conversation – which we hadn’t seen before. We saw him do a karate chop movement, which suggests he felt completely in control and nothing could get in the way of that.

“Harry has come on from leaps and bounds in terms of believing in himself and his confidence in what he can achieve independently without reassurance.”

The Duke of Sussex, 40, attended an awards ceremony for WellChild in the UK on Monday before jetting to Africa the following day on his next solo engagement without his wife Meghan Markle.

After landing in Lesotho, Harry had lunch with Princess Senate Seeiso of Lesotho, 23, where he was pictured standing beside the young royal.

The princess is the niece of Prince Seeiso, who Harry co-founded his youth-focused charity Sentebale with.

The charity aims to help young people in need in Africa, including those with HIV and aids.

During his visit, Harry spoke and posed for pictures with Prince Seeiso.

Darren said: “During his visit, Harry held onto Prince Seeiso’s arm as he stood close to him. It didn’t look forced or disingenuous from either side. This suggests Harry and the Prince have a strong rapport.”

He said the pair were “grinning from ear to ear,” which is a “giveaway” that they were both “genuinely happy in each other’s company”.
