UK hot weather maps show exact date 24C heat returns to Britain

Hot weather will return to the UK later this month as weather maps show temperatures rising to 23C two days in a row.

With autumn now upon us, temperatures have suddenly dropped to single digits in parts of the UK this week.

Summer may now be over, but forecasts show that the UK will get a couple more days of sunshine before the winter months.

According to WX Charts’ weather maps, aided by Metdesk data, balmy temperatures will return on September 18.

The southeast of England will see the warmest temperatures of 23C while other parts of the south will reach the low twenties.

Parts of Scotland will also reach 22C, while Wales and northern England will hit 19-20C.

On September 19, temperatures will peak at 24C near the English-Welsh border while most of England will enjoy temperatures of around 21-22C.

Scotland and Wales will once again be slightly cooler at between 18-20C.

The Met Office‘s forecast for September 16-September 18 says: “High pressure keeping it fine and dry for many with precipitation restricted to the far northwest. Warm daytime sunshine, though some cool nights. Strong winds possible in the south.”

The service’s long-range forecast for September 28-October 12 adds: “Typical Autumn weather will probably affect the UK with a mix of weather types during late September and early October.

“Periods of wet, unsettled weather will likely be broken up by some spells of more settled, drier weather. Overall, the wettest conditions will probably be in the west with the east drier.

“Temperatures are most likely to be close to or slightly above average.”
