A blast of cold weather is set to hit the UK with more snow on the way for Brits.
Latest maps from WXCHARTS show a large deluge of purple as snow is set to hit the UK with huge swathes to be affected on Tuesday at midnight.
The snow will hit Scotland, Wales and England with Newcastle to see the highest levels of snowfall at around 10cm per hour.
By 6pm on Tuesday, even more areas will see snowfall with it looking a lot more likely the snow will begin to stick by this time.
North Yorkshire and Cumbria will see the highest levels of snow depth at around 7cm.
One of the only areas to escape the snow in England will be the south west which looks to be snow-free.
London will also escape snow on Tuesday with the snow set to just miss the capital.
As for Wales, most of the country will also be hit by snow.
By Wednesday at 6pm, snow will stretch from the Scottish highlands all the way down to Southampton.
The Met Office forecast says: “It is likely to be rather more settled across the UK in this period, especially at first.
“High pressure will sit close to, or over the UK, and will most likely drift away slowly eastwards with time.
“Consequently, southern and eastern areas are likely to see the driest conditions, with lightest winds, which could lead to overnight frost and fog with temperatures a little below normal.
“Further north and west, there is a risk of incursions of Atlantic air and fontal systems at times, which would bring some rain here, but with milder temperatures.
“There is a very low chance that if the high orientates in such a way that a more easterly (rather than southerly/southeasterly) flow develops, a spell of much colder conditions could develop across the UK.”
