While the courts sit empty and creaking prisons are releasing convicts early the MoJ is finding creative alternative methods of spending taxpayer cash. UK DOGE analysis reveals that the MoJ is currently operating a £105,00 contract over two years to deliver “Diversity, Equalities and Inclusion Training” to prisoners. The contract, awarded in September, will deliver “mentor training” in DEI and help “ensure that our prisoners understand where diversity, equality and inclusion sits within their chosen areas of study or indeed areas of work within the establishment.Prisoners are undergoing training in all matters woke across HMPs Chelmsford, Highpoint, Hollesley Bay, Mount, and Warren Hill…

For that taxpayer cash the state could fund:

  • Three prison officer salaries.
  • Full training for eight Band 3 prison officers.
  • Nine police general purpose cars.
  • Two-and-a-half police armed response vehicles.

Prisoners do not need DEI training for “reintegration back into the community.UK DOGE recommends costs are cut here…
