Reform is out of the traps early with a new letter campaign across Runcorn and Helsby. The party has gone for two visual elements: A massive picture of Nigel and a snapshot of sitting MP Mike Amesbury ‘allegedly’ thumping a constituent. Striking…
Amesbury is due at Chester Magistrates Court on the 16th January. Farage notes in the letter that Reform beat the Tories in the election with 18% of the vote compared to the Tories’ 16%. The Helsby Hellraiser, meanwhile, got 52.9% of the vote and a majority of almost 15,000…
The expectation is of course that a by-election is inbound. Hilariously Nigel writes that Reform is locally “fighting against the toll issues on the Mersey Gateway and Silver Jubilee bridges.“ Which happens to be the exact subject of the argument that raised tensions on that fateful Friday…
“It is only a few short months since the general election, but already we can see a Labour Party that have failed the people of Runcorn and Helsby.
Their cruel war on pensioners has seen them take winter fuel payments away from 15,000 elderly people locally. Over 17,000 illegal migrants have crossed the English Channel since July 5th. Keir Starmer has released thousands of dangerous criminals from prison early. And Chancellor Rachel Reeves has announced the highest tax rising budget on record, hurting working people in the pocket.
Meanwhile, Reform UK beat the Conservatives in Runcorn and Helsby at the general election. The Tories have lost the trust of the British people, with 14 years of broken promises whilst in government. Their weak leadership has failed us all and the brand is broken.
Reform won over 4 million votes at the last election and made a huge breakthrough with 5 MPs in Westminster. Since that moment, we have been fighting for the British people in Parliament by challenging the established political parties.
We need politicians who believe in the country and its citizens, stand up for people who work hard, and are unafraid to defend British values.
Locally, Reform UK is fighting against the toll issues on the Mersey Gateway and Silver Jubilee bridges. This, and the terrible mismanagement of fines, shows a clear disregard for the thousands of people who commute to work by car in this area. Reform will campaign to ensure people are put over profit when it comes to these bridges.
Reform UK believes in doing politics differently and putting the people first. As leader, I am writing to you with a short survey so we can hear your views on local and national issues.
You can find this overleaf with an envelope to return it to us. I hope to hear from you soon.
Britain is broken. Britain needs Reform.”
