LIVERPOOL goalie Alisson Becker’s wife has spoken out to make it clear she is not the woman arrested after a man died following a chemical skin peel at a Brazilian clinic.
Mum-of-three Natalia Becker shares the same name as the social media influencer held on suspicion of manslaughter in Sao Paulo following the death of businessman Henrique Silva Chagas.
Some social media sites published pictures of the stunning brunette, whose full name is Natalia Loewe Becker and was studying medicine when she first met Alisson during his time playing for Brazilian side Internacional and stuck it out to become a qualified doctor.
Overnight upset Natalia, who tied the knot with her footballer husband in 2015 before welcoming their first child Helena into the world three years later, took to Instagram to tell her 351,000 followers: “Clarification.
“I am not the ‘Natalia Becker’ named in the news about the beauty clinic.
“It’s another person who has the same name and last surname. No relation whatsoever.”
The WAG beauty was unwittingly caught up in the ongoing criminal investigation in Brazil after a phenol peel, an intense type of chemical peel with anti-ageing benefits which is considered risky, was linked to the death on Monday of 27-year-old old Mr Chagas.
The 29-year-old owner of the Sao Paulo clinic where he underwent the procedure is called Natalia Fabiana de Freitas Antonio but was known online as Natalia Becker.
Henrique had decided to undergo the chemical peel to tackle his acne. Medics were called to the clinic after he began to experience pain.
The woman held, whose only physical resemblance to the Liverpool goalkeeper’s wife is her same-coloured brunette hair although she has in the past died it blonde, left the scene saying she felt ill and was going to hospital.
She was placed under formal investigation as part of an ongoing manslaughter probe after handing herself into police yesterday.
Investigators suspect the dead man could have suffered an allergic reaction during his chemical peel and gone into anaphylactic shock.
The clinic owner, who was not a qualified doctor like Alisson’s wife, said after her arrest she was “very sad” about what had happened.
She told local press: “I feel for Henrique’s family. This has ended my own life. I never had the intention of doing him any harm.”
