Sunak struggles to move away from D-day absence criticism


If Rishi Sunak thought he could apologise for departing early from the D-day commemorations and everyone would move on, it seems he was rather mistaken.

Today he appeared to be avoiding questions from the media, as he campaigned in County Durham and Yorkshire.

The Conservatives sought to change the subject, outlining pledges to help first-time buyers and motorists, while Labour was focusing on helping small businesses
