CCHQ Pardons Mutinous Councillors To Maintain Control
Chaotic developments in Walsall Council have taken another turn now that mutinous Tory councillors have been readmitted to the party after leaving en masse to start an independent group with suspended Council leader Mike Bird. CCHQ sent messages to mutineers alleging that they “caused the official Conservative Group to become a minority on the council” and therefore “failed to uphold the Party’s aims.” Obviously…

Guido hears a special meeting was carried out last night, supervised by numerous regional and area chairmen and CCHQ chief of staff Ryan Stinger (who was standing at the back), to readmit the mutinous councillors. The seven who remained loyal to the Tories are said to be furious at the free pardon – especially as they aren’t to be rewarded with group leadership or council positions. Bird, who was accused of racist discrimination before being suspended by the party, remains Council leader – he will now be challenged by his own loyalist Garry Perry. Trust in the farce…
