A high-speed police pursuit in the early hours of the morning led to a major crash on the A1 near Denton Burn, Newcastle, leaving seven officers injured. The incident, which occurred around 2:30 AM, involved a collision between a BMW and five police vehicles, causing significant damage and a temporary closure of the northbound carriageway.
